It is important to reduce our negative environmental impact and make more sustainable choices. We also believe that a more sustainable approach has a positive impact on our work results, improves profitability by reducing our costs, improves our stakeholder relations and provides a greater force for change.
We therefore chose to certify our business according to the environmental management system ISO 14001. The management system gives us a clear and effective standard for managing compliance with environmental requirements and helps us identify continuous improvements.
The majority of our products are made of steel, one of the world's most recycled raw materials. Whenever possible we recycle waste and by-products from the production.
For the coming three years our focus areas for reducing our negative environmental impact is:
- Reducing our electricity consumption
- Increasing the degree of recycled waste
- Reducing the amount of fossil fuel for heating
